Do you want to help create one of Norway’s most flavorful festivals right in the heart of Trondheim? As a volunteer, you’ll experience the festival magic from the inside, meet new people, and be part of an energetic community working together to create something truly unique.
You’ll collaborate with everyone from innovative breweries and local food producers to skilled restaurants, security teams, and technical crews – become part of the engine behind one of the country’s biggest food and drink festivals.

Trøndersk Matfestival and Bryggerifestivalen are Europe’s leading local food festivals. The festivals create unique encounters between food and beverage producers and a local, national, and international audience.
Trøndersk Matfestival together with Bryggerifestivalen has received international attention multiple times. In August 2023, they were named one of the 8 best places in the world to be. Our festivals have become a recommended destination not only in Europe but worldwide.
Facts about Bryggerifestivalen
A knowledge festival for brews, craft beer, and homebrewed beer
First held in 2013
30 breweries and over 300 brews on the menu – beer, cider, and mead
Brewers themselves serve at the bar and are happy to talk about their brews
Beer, cider, and mead are served in 1 dl festival glasses
Five festival restaurants offer an exciting selection of great food made with Trøndelag ingredients
The festival uses its own currency, “Oi!”, which is purchased on site and can be exchanged for drinks or food
