Anniversary Products

To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the festival, we have selected eleven products that together represent the diversity and essence of the festival and the Trøndelag region. Some producers have created exciting new products especially for the occasion, while others contribute with their classic bestsellers – long-time festival favorites.

KNAS, Sea Salt – LiVERTEN (Namdalen, Tent 4)
KNAS is a series of fried snacks made from tunnbrød (a traditional flatbread baked in a stone oven using an old recipe from the Lierne–Jämtland border). The snacks are produced from leftover dough trimmings, making it a sustainable, local product from Lierne. KNAS is a delicious alternative to chips or nuts and is perfect alongside cheese, cured meats, or even dessert.

 

Rørvik Fish Cakes – Rørvik Fiskemat (Namdalen, Tent 4)
Originally created by Grandma Marie in her basement in Rørvik in 1927, this recipe has been refined over nearly a century. These award-winning fish cakes are now sold nationwide and remain a beloved product with deep traditions and exceptional quality.

 

Aquavit Jelly – Romstad Gård (Fosen, Tent 5)
This jelly is inspired by Norway’s aquavit tradition, dating back to 1531. It features the iconic rose window from Nidaros Cathedral on the label – a nod to Trondheim’s rich history. A hit with tourists and locals alike, this jelly brings together history, healing, and heritage.

 

Rørosvidda’s Pearl – Rørosrein (Røros, Tent 6)
Reindeer calf tenderloin, winner of the Norwegian Food Award 2017. The meat is beautifully trimmed, with a rich flavor and perfect texture. A premium product that showcases Norway’s wild game traditions at their finest.

 

Cold-Smoked Salmon with Juniper and Fennel – Garnvik (Smaker fra Øyriket, Tent 7)
Made from local Norwegian farmed salmon, dry-salted and delicately smoked over beech wood, with hints of juniper and fennel. This product also marks Garnvik’s own 10-year anniversary.

 

Wild Hot Beer Snack – Dalpro (Smaker fra Øyriket, Tent 7)
A snack sausage made mainly from deer meat from Hitra and Frøya, spiced with garlic, chili, and paprika. With 25g protein per 100g, it's the perfect pairing for a drink or a tasty on-the-go snack.

 

ChocoGold – FrostaChips (Frosta, Tent 11)
An innovative collab between FrostaChips and Trondheim Sjokolade. Two pralines: Pistachio with crunchy dill-pickle chips and Caramel with salted potato chips. A sweet-salty treat that bridges tradition and modern flavor fusion.

 

Festival Aquavit – Berg Gård / Inderøy Destilleri (Inderøy, Tent 13)
Specially made to celebrate the festival’s 20th anniversary. A true craft aquavit made from potato spirit with caraway, meadowsweet, spruce shoots, and malted barley – all from Trøndelag. Available through Vinmonopolet.

 

Rabagast – Hogna Brygg (Trøndelag Sør, Tent 16)
A fresh summer drink made with juicy apples and tart rhubarb, built on Bonsak malt. Great as an aperitif or paired with seafood, salads, or light meat.

 

Waffle with Mountain Almond Potato – Fjellmandel fra Oppdal (Trøndelag Sør, Tent 16)
This geographically protected potato variety from over 400 meters altitude offers a nutty flavor and unique texture. Enjoy it as a waffle or in traditional dishes – proof that potatoes can truly be used for anything.

 

Høvding Sverre, Aged – Orkladal Ysteri (Orkland, Tent 17)
A firm, washed-rind cheese aged 6–12 months. Named after King Sverre Sigurdsson of the late 1100s, this cheese has won numerous awards and holds the “Specialty” label. Perfect for pairing with jelly, honey, or just enjoyed on its own.
