Trøndelag Food Festival and the Brewery Festival are Europe's leading local food festivals. These festivals create unique encounters between food and beverage producers and a diverse audience of local, national, and international visitors.

Trøndelag Food Festival, together with the Brewery Festival, has received international attention multiple times. In fact, the two festivals were named one of the 8 best places in the world to be in August 2023. Our festivals are now recognized as recommended destinations not just in Europe, but globally.

Facts about the Brewery Festival

• A knowledge festival focused on craft beer, specialty brews, and home-brewed beer
• First held in 2013
• Features 30 breweries and over 300 brews on the menu – including beer, cider, and mead
• Brewers serve behind the bars and are happy to chat about the drinks they’ve created
• All beverages are served in 1 dl festival glasses
• Five curated festival restaurants offer exciting dishes based on local ingredients from Trøndelag
• The festival uses its own currency – “Oi!” – which can be purchased on-site and used to buy food and drink
• Free admission to the festival
• Open from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM
