We cannot wait to wish you all welcome during the opening of Trøndelag Food Festival and Trondheim Brewery Festival during the weekend of the 3-5th august 2023.

Join us for a feast celebrating local, food, drink, produce and products. This year the opening of Trøndelag Food Festival happens as the same day as Olavsfest comes to an end. The collaboration between the two festivals will be marked by Olavsfest and Little Amal joining us for a visit during the opening ceremony. Little Amal is the 12 foot puppet of a 10 year old Syrian refugee child. She has become a global symbol of human rights, especially those of refugees.  

10.30: Ravnkloa, Frosta rows in our vegetables
All the regions from Trøndelag Food Festival gather with a selection of the finest produce the region has to offer. Little Amal comes to say hello to the regions, our partners and the audience. There will be a speech by Minister of Agriculture and food, Sandra Borch.  

10.50: Parade to Stiftsgården
Little Amal will walk alongside Minister Sandra Borch, Oi! Trøndersk Mat og Drikke, Mayor  Rita Ottervik and County Mayor Tore O. Sandvik. At the front we will see the region og Frosta wheel in barrels of vegetables just like the old days. The rest of the opening act and audience are warmly invited to join the parade. 

11.00: The Opening Ceremony continues from the stairs of Stiftsgården
Welcome speech by CEO of Oi!, Aslaug Rustad.
Speech by Mayor Rita Ottervik and County Mayor Tore O. Sandvik.
Minister of Agriculture and Food, Sandra Borch honours the award winners of Trøndelag Food Festival.
