E.C. Dahls has been brewing beer in Trondheim since 1856 and has a rich and diverse history. They're famous for a certain pilsner, but since they renovated the brewery in 2016 they have launched over a 100 new craft beers. At E.C. Dahls in Nyhavna in Trondheim you can visit the brewery, take a guided tour and have food and beers in their restaurant.

E.C. Dahls Bryggeri has every type of beer you can think of. The brewery was founded by Erich Christian Dahl in 1856, in Trondheim. The following year, the brewery launched its first beer – a bayer brewed by master brewer Kristoffer Olsen.
E.C. Dahls Bryggeri quickly became the largest brewery in the region. In 1966, the brewery merged with Aktiebryggeriet at Lademoen, where they are still located today. A number of beer styles such as export, lager, bjor and bayer beer have been brewed over the years, and the biggest beer success in Norwegian history, Lysholmer, came in 1983. The well-known Dahls pilsner is also still brewed. The yeast in a Dahls lager can be traced back over 70 years.
From autumn 2016, they will once again serve innovative brews. Their brewmaster Wolfgang Lindell has brought Brooklyn Brewery on board to create a new series of beers that combine the best of E.C. Dahl's brewing traditions with Brooklyn's innovation. The first three have been named Lamo Wit, Pepra Saison and Bolt IPA.
