Mersmak is a salmon smokehouse, butchering plant for vension/livestock and sausage making with over 100 years of tradition as we carry on the legacy of Andersen food at Støren. We further process our own animals, as well as on assignment for customers. In summer we cut and smoke salmon and in autumn we cut vension. In addition, we breed all our own animals. Our animals, Rørosku (sided trønder cattle), Belted galloway and Boer goat graze in the outback at the foot of Gynnildfjellet. All males are castrated, so that they can go with their mother and the herd on summer pastures. The free-range pigs run on large forest areas with access to both sleeping huts and mud baths in streams. You will find us in Strinde in Soknedal, in Midtre Gauldal municipality, where we sell meat and salmon. (Snøan-Strinde 507.) Mersmak, - with a heart for the raw material!
