Many people believe that autumn is the prime season for foraging, but there are exciting plants you can harvest all year round! This is a practical course in foraging spring’s wild plants. Join Jim-André Stene from Trøndelag Sankeri on an educational walk in the forest! Taste, smell, and learn about the species and plants found in spring and how to use them to make wonderful dishes at home. Jim-André will guide you through what to look for to find the very best seasonal ingredients. He will cover different species and give tips on what you can create with them. Maybe you’ll impress friends and family with a rich wild garlic mayonnaise or a refreshing glass of dandelion syrup? Of course, you get to take your own foraged treasures home, so it’s a race to be the best forager! About the instructor: ‘The Wild Farmer’ Jim-André Stene is the founder behind Trøndelag Sankeri, which supplies several hundred species of edible wild plants to restaurants across Norway. Together with Jørgen Ravneberg, he co-authored the recently published Mushroom Foraging Book (Soppsankeboka).
