Enjoy an authentic British tradition with a local twist, surrounded by beautiful, historic settings. One Saturday each month, except in July, we invite you to our popular Afternoon Tea in the stunning historic lounges at Bårdshaug Herregård. Here you can experience a genuine British tradition, first introduced to Norway by Queen Maud in 1905 and later carried on by Christian Thams through his elegant tea parties at the manor. Our hosts keep the tradition alive, adding a unique touch with local, seasonal ingredients. The menu always features filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with stirred jam and fresh cream, as well as a selection of homemade tarts, cakes, and sweets. Our Afternoon Tea menu is regularly updated to reflect the best local produce each season has to offer. We take pride in working with local producers to bring you the finest ingredients from our region. Each month you can look forward to a fresh and exciting twist on this classic tradition. We collaborate with Gravraak Teateliér in Trondheim to offer an exclusive selection of teas for our Afternoon Tea. Master Tea Blender Hanne Charlotte Heggberget creates unique blends in partnership with tea farmers and tea masters from around the world, often with a Nordic touch inspired by wild plants from Trøndelag.
