For nearly 1,000 years, Trondheim and Trøndelag have welcomed pilgrims on their journey to Nidaros. Now, you are invited to experience this history through a meal created by two of Trøndelag’s leading chefs.
In collaboration with the Pilgrim Center Trondheim and Oi! Food & Drink, Renéée Fagerhøi and Thomas Borgan will take you on a unique culinary journey along the four pilgrimage routes that lead to Nidaros Cathedral. Through a multi-course lunch, they explore the flavours, traditions, and ingredients that have shaped the people and landscapes along these routes for centuries.
From coast to fjord, from mountains to forests, each course draws inspiration from the places the pilgrims once travelled through. Combining creativity, storytelling, and the very best ingredients from Trøndelag, Renéée and Thomas create a lunch experience that can only be enjoyed here, at the final destination of the pilgrim journey.
Welcome to the table by Nidaros Cathedral – for a sensory journey through the landscapes, history, and food culture of Trøndelag.
Throughout the meal, the Pilgrim Center Trondheim will share stories of the pilgrims’ journeys from the north, south, east, and west. You will be taken through a thousand years of hospitality and community, accompanied by musical performances and live storytelling.
The entire experience takes place where pilgrims finally arrived after centuries of travel – at Nidaros Cathedral, in the heart of Trondheim.
The lunch is based on ingredients from Trøndelag, and a specially curated non-alcoholic beverage pairing is included in the ticket price. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased when booking your tickets.
Any allergies must be reported in advance. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate vegan or low-FODMAP menus for this event.
The lunch is designed for an adult audience, but the festival also offers a range of activities suitable for children and young people.

With restaurants in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Oslo, and London, Punk Royale has become known as one of the Nordic region’s most talked-about restaurant concepts – an experience that challenges the boundaries between dining, performance, and celebration.

In this course, you will taste wild plants, mushrooms, and refined products from the natural landscape of Trøndelag. We take a closer look at how the ingredients are foraged, what to be aware of, and how they can be used in food and drinks.

Aquavit has long traditions in Trøndelag that stretch back several hundred years. Svein Berfjord from Inderøy Distillery and Eivind Steiro Berg-Hanssen from ØX Tap Room and Distillery place great emphasis on using local ingredients in their production, and on continuing the long and proud tradition of aquavit production in Trondheim.
