Austmann Bryggeri is a Norwegian craft brewery located at Sluppen in Trondheim. The brewery was started by the founders Thomas Sjue, Vinko Lien Sindelar and Anders Cooper in 2013. During its first two years of brewing, the brewery launched over 60 different beers, and in 2015 over 250,000 liters of beer were produced, of which 15% goes to export. This makes the brewery Norway's sixth largest craft brewery.

The brewery differs from the majority of other Norwegian breweries by having a distinctive brewing technique, which takes place in open fermentation vessels rather than closed tanks which are more common. The method is more labour-intensive, but is claimed to give better control over the fermentation process.

Austmann Bryggeri takes its name from the Old Norwegian word "austmann", which was used for Norwegians who went east on trade and discovery trips.

Austmann Northumberland Brown Ale won gold at the Meiningers International Craft Beer Award in Germany in 2014. So it is therefore worth a taste or two.
