On the last Saturday of every month, Bårdshaug Herregård invites you to Afternoon Tea in the manor's historic living rooms. Here you can learn more about this British tradition which Queen Maud brought with her to the castle in 1905 and which Christian Thams continued through his tea parties at Bårdshaug Herregård. Today's hosts at Bårdshaug Herregård continue this British tradition when we invite you to our regular Afternoon Tea service in the historic rooms, on the last Saturday of each month (except in July and December) from 1 pm to 4 pm, with the last seating at 2 p.m. We want to lift the dining experience to historic heights for our guests, and thus offer our own local food twist on this classic serving, where the local flavors change in step with the pulse of nature and the availability of seasonal ingredients. Filled finger sandwiches, freshly baked scones with stirred jam and fresh sour cream, home-baked tarts, cakes and sweets are always to be found at our Afternoon Tea, regardless of the season. Bårdshaug Herregård has recently entered into a collaboration with Gravraak Teateliér to serve their brewed teas during our Afternoon Tea. Gravraak Teateliér is a workshop in Trondheim, where Master Tea Blender Hanne Charlotte Heggberget blends tea with knowledge and care, in collaboration with tea farmers and tea masters around the world, often interspersed with wild local plants from Trøndelag. If you order Afternoon Tea for two or more, we give you a 15% discount on your accommodation in connection with your Afternoon Tea reservation.
